The PEOPLE I LOVE alphabet series contains 26 letters, an ampersand and an exclamation mark. They are represented in various styles using watercolor and pen, belonging to a long tradition of turning symbol into symbolized, typographical play that draws attention to the letters themselves.
These cards are an intentional pairing of print and postcard. As prints, they work well as a grid and can be used to spell names, create monograms, or as single letter pieces. As postcards, they are meant to call to mind the fleeting here-then-gone nature of performance arts.
The Letter G features Pittsburgh’s 40th Street Bridge, in a minimal pen outline.
